Teaching Your Agent
Your agent works from your Knowledge Base on day one, so it needs no teaching to start. The Teach tab is where you coach it as it works: ask it what it knows, approve the articles it wants to save, correct what it has learned, and look back at what changed. Nothing it picks up is used until you say so.
Open it from Agents > your agent > the Teach tab.

The agent configuration page showing the row of tabs, with Teach between Advanced and Share
The tab has four sub-tabs: Teach, Suggested answers, What your agent learned and History. A number on Suggested answers counts the new articles waiting for you.
Teach: Talk to Your Agent
Teach is a chat where you act as your agent's teacher. Your agent answers with its sources, and you can teach or correct it in the same breath.
Start a session
Click + New session, or tap a starter question such as "What do you know about refunds?". Past sessions are listed on the left, and your latest one resumes on its own if you used it in the last three days.
Ask, then teach
Ask what your agent knows, then correct it: "actually, our window is 45 days". What it wants to save comes up as an approval you answer in the chat.
Read a team member's session
A session a team member started opens read-only with their name on it. Only they can continue it; start your own to teach the agent.
A session that starts from a customer conversation sends everything the agent wants to learn to Suggested answers for your review, never straight into your Knowledge Base.
Suggested Answers: Articles Your Agent Wants to Save
Suggested answers holds knowledge your agent picked up while helping customers. Each card shows a title, whether it updates an existing file or is a new article, and how confident your agent is.
Open a suggestion
Click a card to see the change. For an update you see a before and after; for a new article you see the full text. A long change asks you to open the full view before you can save.
Save it, set it aside, or dismiss it
Save to Knowledge Base adds it to your Knowledge Base, and you can undo that later. Later sets it aside with no reminders and no expiry; find it under Later at the top. Dismiss removes it from your list, and you can say why to help tune future suggested answers.
- At most three suggested answers show at a time, best first. The rest sit under more lower-confidence suggestions and expire quietly if you never need them.
- A red conflicts with existing knowledge tag means the suggestion contradicts a file you already have. Your agent may answer that topic inconsistently until you settle it.
- A blue review signal card points at something to check, like answers visitors rated poorly. Act on what it says, then dismiss it; there is nothing to save.
- A suggested answer for a file you have archived asks you to restore the file first. See Archive Files You Want to Keep but Not Use.
Questions your agent could not answer arrive here too: Draft the answer on an unanswered question in Conversations and Quality puts a starting-point article in Suggested answers.
What Your Agent Learned
What your agent learned (also called memories or notes) lists everything your agent has picked up: facts from tickets, preferences you taught it, and corrections you made. Each shows its type, whether it applies to one client or to everyone, how important it is, and where it came from.
- Edit changes the wording in place. Your agent uses the new wording from its next conversation, and search finds the new words too. Anything that looks like a password or key is removed when you save.
- Retire turns one of these notes off. Give a short reason it no longer applies. It moves to History, never deleted.
History: Retired and Reviewed
History lists the notes you retired and the suggested answers you reviewed, marked saved to Knowledge Base or dismissed. Restore on a retired note turns it back on.
This tab is about what your agent learns. The settings changes made to an agent, with Undo, live in the agent's own change history, and changes made through Jarvis show up there too.
Do It by Talking
You can do most of this from the chat with Jarvis instead: ask it to review your suggested answers, correct something it learned, or turn one off. It reads the list, tells you what it found, and every change has Undo.
